The 19th FAI World Hot Air Balloon Championship will be in Debrecen, Hungary October 2-10, 2010 (www.deballoons.com). United States representatives are selected based on individual finishes from both the 2008 and 2009 US National Championships.

The invitation process will likely involve two rounds with the first round consisting of three invitations per eligible National Aero Club (NAC) and a second round dependent on individual NAC finishes from the 2008 World Championship in Austria. The expected US participants are:
