Arizona Balloon Classic

Arizona's premier hot air balloon race & festival. And, the only continuous hot air balloon race & festival in the Phoenix metro market.

Dates: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, January 24th, 25th & 26th, 2020

Gates Open & Close: Friday 4:00PM – 8PM; Saturday 7:00AM – 8PM; Sunday 7:00AM – 10AM (subject to change)

Balloon Event Times: Morning “Hare & Hound” competition (Saturday and Sunday): 7:35AM – 8:35AM; Evening Glows (Friday & Saturday): 6:30PM – 7:30PM (times subject to change)

*PLEASE NOTE: Balloon Liftoffs & Glows times are always dependent upon weather conditions.

Location: Goodyear Ballpark – 1933 S. Ballpark Way, Goodyear, Arizona 85338

Attendance: Up to 20,000 spectators are expected to enjoy this community event.

Balloons: Up to 30 hot-air balloons, including special shapes, will participate.

Events: The Arizona Balloon Classic” – On Saturday and Sunday mornings the sky will be filled with colorful hot-air balloons participate in thrilling “Hare & Hound” races from the grassy fields of the Goodyear Ballpark for a spectacular sight of mass and color. Spectators can walk on the field and experience the balloons inflation and lift off. Photo taking is invited.

DESERT GLOWS on Friday and Saturday evenings are our most popular attended events. A field full of illuminated, tethered, hot air balloons will glow in time to music.

Other Events: Hot Air Balloon rides, Family Fun Zone, Hot Air Balloon Tether rides, Fireworks (Saturday ONLY), Live Entertainment, sampling, and many other exciting events. Retail shopping and commercial exhibits for purchases or browsing.

Street Foodfest: Our Annual Street Foodfest is set to expend with some of the Valley’s best culinary teams including; a “Beer Garden”, Food tasting, West Valley Chef demonstrations & Cooking School, Food eating contests, Live music stage and more. Come hungry and stay for a while…

Admission: For any one day - $15 at the gate. Active Military and Children 12 & under are always FREE. Group ticket packages available. General parking $5. PLEASE NOTE, NO PETS ALLOWED. ALL BALLOONING EVENTS ARE DEPENDENT UPON WEATHER CONDITIONS. NO REFUNDS. RAIN CHECKS OFFERED TO OTHER BALLOON EVENTS DUE TO CANCELLATION.
