The Town of Frederick Colorado would like to invite you to fly with us at the 9th Annual Frederick In Flight, June 21st, 22nd & 23rd. This is a three day event and we encourage you to fly with us on Friday the 21st. We will be flying from Centennial Park Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. There will be pilot registration and dinner Friday evening and the Candlestick and Glow Party at Centennial Park Saturday evening.

By popular demand from the public, The Town would like pilots who are participating in the Candlestick and Glow Party to be at the park by 6 pm thru 9 pm. We will have designated areas for candlestick pilots and for those pilots who wish to glow. Propane will be available from 8 to 10 pm. The Glow Party has been a big hit with the public! They love you guys!!

Our accommodations will be at The Best Western Plus in Longmont. We are offering lodging Friday and Saturday nights and Thursday night lodging provided for pilots flying Friday morning. Lodging is offered to pilots coming more than 50 miles. There is $50 travel money for pilots coming more than 50 miles, $100 travel money for pilots coming more than 100 miles and $150 travel money for pilot coming more than 150 miles. You’ll receive a pilot and crew chief polo shirt (You can order more shirts if you want. See the Lodging & Shirt Request form). We’ll provide propane for all the pilots and champagne for the sponsors. There will be sponsor flights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be no commercial flights allowed from the Frederick In Flight event.

Attendance is capped, so please get your applications in early. The FAA has issued new requirements for Waivered Balloon Events. We need to provide copies of your Pilot Certificate, photo ID, Airworthiness & Registration certificates, Aircraft annual inspection and flight review to the FAA prior to the event. There is a $25.00 non-refundable entry fee so the propane provided to pilots is not considered compensation. Please complete the enclosed Pilot Application and Lodging & Shirt Request forms, along with copies of the required documentation, and return them along with your entry fee and extra shirt payment by April 30th. Please make checks payable to Just Do Balloons.

We have travel money and motel for our out of town pilots and we'll be staying at the Best Western Plus in Longmont again this year.

We have the Glow Party at Centennial Park Saturday evening from 6 to 9 pm.

Friday night is pilot check-in and pilot/sponsor dinner.

Pilot and crew chief will receive polo shirts!

Propane and champagne are provided for each flight from Centennial Park all 3 mornings!

We have a lot of balloon pictures on file, but if you have a new balloon or if this is your first year flying with us, please send us a picture of your balloon so we can get it on the pilot board.
We look forward to seeing you at the 9th annual “Frederick In Flight”.
