2021 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Red Rock Balloon Rally in Gallup, NM. Red Rock Park, with its massive, smooth sandstone bluffs and deep canyons is the perfect backdrop for the colorful nylon spectacle viewed by thousands of visitors each year since 1981. Often referred to as "balloonist's paradise" the red rock canyons offer pilots and those who are spectators incredible views. An invitation to this widely publicized event is highly prized by balloon pilots from around the world.
Those pilots who are lucky, will win beautiful Native American art or jewelry. Roughly 75% of the worlds Native American art comes from the Gallup, NM area. There are balloon glows with Native American Dances by bonfire as well as Dawn Patrol flights & Mass Ascensions.
