FAA Seeks Input on Improving Medical Process
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is actively seeking feedback from aviation stakeholders to enhance the airman medical certification process. During a recent listening session, Acting FAA Administrator Chris Rocheleau emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to improve safety and acknowledged existing challenges within the system. In response to stakeholder concerns, the FAA announced it will not proceed with plans to issue initial denials for incomplete medical examinations or paperwork.
